Help Market Upgrade now making my phone use 3G

Liferules

Newbie
Ever since the market upgraded the other day/week, my phone goes 3G whenever I go to the market app. I'll be in my home, wifi connected and working for other apps, then click Market and suddenly 3G appears and I start getting tapped for data usage just to browse, much less download...

This happening to anyone else? Any ideas on fixing it other than going airplane mode?

While I'm certainly a 24 hour newbie... I noticed this right off. Connected to Wifi at home, click on Market and the 3G icon appears. Not sure if it's actually using 3G though, as the little red arrow pointing down, indicating downloading I think is not present. If I turn off wifi, then I see the red arrow that would indicate downloading... at least I'm hoping that's the deal. I hate the way AT&T hit us with this data deal. I thinking I might should have stuck with my old Razr2 and enjoyed unlimited for $10.

I just pulled my sim card and updated a bunch of apps from the (new) market app, so it most definitely is using WiFi.

Quick update. Not sure what happened but after a couple of days it went away...again now accessing the market on whatever connection I have (wifi or 3g). Not sure if a reboot fixed it as I swap out my batteries daily or if something else fixed it... very odd.
