Root Marquee to Optimus F7?

I switched from the lg marquee to the htc one sv, and then to the optimus f7, and im pleasantly surprised by the feel off this phone...high end feel, yet a middle of the read device with the price to match...quite a great upgrade.

Definitly upgrade. The F7 is a newer phone with more everything. lol

Either that or go with the Er ehemmm S3. lol. I did and love it. I've heard great reviews from the F7 users that I know and they are well schooled on Android devices. 1234west and k28king1 are 2 of the users I am referring to. They know their stuff so if they say it's a good phone, you can take that info to the bank.

Good to see you guys in here. I hope you've both been doing well and if I don't get a chance to talk with you before the holiday, HAPPY THANKSGIVING! :)

I Been In And Out Of The Marquee Forums For A Minute :) And Yes I've Been Well. Hope You've Been Well Also And I Myself Am Upgrading To The Nexus 5 Probably Black Friday Or Around Christmas Time. And Happy Thanksgiving To You Too :)

I was waiting for the N5 but after trying out the Moto X, I'm now leaning towards that. For factor is nearly the same as the Marquee but screen is much larger. The N5 is just so big, doesn't feel pocketable.

Is the extra 160 worth it for the s3 over f7

Darn skippy it is! Chevanlol360 forgot to mention all the kick ass Sprint Touchwiz ROMs that are available for it too. Some of them will blow your mind! If you're running Boost, they are a little easier to flash too. The AOSP based ROMs take a little extra work to get running but not much.

Here's a thread I started over in the Boost S3 section. The ROMs I have listed are not the only ROMs that'll run on the Boost S3. They are just the ones I have tested. Just about all of the Sprint Touchwiz and other ROMs will work. There are also quite a few mods and kernels to choose from too. :D

@ Chevanlol360
I sure do miss MegaTron though.... HINT HINT!

Just kidding bro. I know you've got your hands full elsewhere. ;)

Megatron over all these aosp and touchwiz roms? LIARRRRR you aint missing crap lmao:D lol yeah busy with school and stuff. Dont really have any plans to doing another Rom again other than stock with a few tweaks. S3 is good with all these roms but im not into the whole aosp roms anymore lol i know call me crazy. We got cm10.1 and many other aosp 4.2.2 roms for the sequent with little to no bugs and take a guess at what im running. STOCK MODDED lol my personal rom that i call tweaknation. I released it to the sequent community a few weeks back and everyone likes it. Smooth as always.
Jealous over that extra gig of ram though. But lgs 3.0 interface seems to manage ram quite well with just 1 gig. Besides i like the f7 candybar design. Not too fund of the sg3 design after i did some work on one for my friend. I hope samsung goes back to candybar design in its future galaxys.

Haha well what ROM would be best for me for the s3? I like performance and gaming ! But I also don't want my battery drained the first 2 hrs of use

Turns out my friend may be giving me his s3 for free ! He got the iPhone 5S and is just giving me the s3 ! Win win

For Touchwiz ROMs I highly recommend Wicked Sensations or MOAR.

For AOSP I recommend Dirty Unicorns AOKP or Vanilla RootBox. If you have 4G in your area you may want to think twice about AOSP based ROMs because 4G is iffy on most of them with Boost right now. Users report being able to use LTE but MMS not working with it enabled. If LTE is switched to CDMA (3G) you will have MMS & 3G data. No 4G though.

Doesn't bother me.... I don't have 4G. :D I run them all. ;)

Did you look through that thread and see all of the stuff that's in there?

There are a lot of kernels and other mods too. If you end up getting the S3 then you're good2go. :)
