Help Marshmallow upgrade deleted mail app?

We have an older nexus tablet that just auto updated to marshmallow. It seems that the email app has completely disappeared. How do we get this back? Is the default app even in the Play store?

Google did away with the stock email app in lollipop and defaulted to the gmail app. Looks like the other app is not on the Play Store anymore either.

I've been using Inbox by Google and I prefer it, but it's definitely not for everyone. If you want to try it and need an invite, let me know; I still have invites available.

And for good measure, it looks like you can download the stock email apk HERE.
