Lurker
Ok So I'm as noob as noob gets when it comes to all of this and I need help.
I have been trying to root my HTC wildefire s with Marvelc. The Problem I am having is I cant turn s-off nor can I unlock the boot loader.
I've been going to the HTCdev website and trying to unlock the boot loader but it keeps telling me that I cant continue until I update to 1.05.1550.00
See the thing is I have 2.00.1550.07 so if I am correct I don't need to upgrade, even when I manually check for updates the phone says there are none.
here are the specs of my phone
Model: HTC-PG762
Device: Marvelc
Product: htc_marvelc
Version: 2.3.4
Os Info
Name: Linux
Version: 2.6.35.10-g7cbfaee
Arch: armv6i
Dexfile: true
Encoding: UTF-8
I need to unlock the boot loader so that I can follow the guide on how to root the wildfire s by mithusan55743
So far this has turned out to be allot more than I thought it would turn out to be.
How do I unlock the boot loader on this thing?
And will any of the methods I have read about actually root marvelc or am I going to get more compatibly errors?
Oh my carrier is MetroPCS
