Root MASSIVE HELP WANTED. lol

Hey guise. A few weeks ago, my Triumph was stolen, and I recovered it a few days later. My silicone case was gone, but most importantly, my SD card :((( a years worth of pictures, gone...anyhow, I have been on MIUI 2.4.20 for quite some time now. Seeing that my SD card is gone, I pretty much don't use it anymore except to wifi tether. Furthermore, I have ALWAYS had issues getting signal at work. Lately here, I found a spot in the shop that gets one bar, but awesome 3G that even lets me stream pandora, and other things while I am waiting between parts (as I am a CNC machinist) but, for some reasons I ALWAYS have to mess with it to even work, and usually it won't work until around 7pm. I work 10 hour 3rd shifts, so Pandora is pretty important to me (as now we don't listen to FM radio anymore....AM radio with Alex Jones -_-) I have decided since the Triumph is a POS and poor signal (not just at work EVERYWHERE now.), the 2.5 GB data limit, combined with them raising my bill because they can't afford all these damn changes (new phones, 4G, ridiculously expensive iPhones...) I am fed up with VM. Just bought a iPhone 3GS with a cracked digitizer (which I can fix) for $25 and after AT&T gives me an unlock code, I am switching. Currently, since I am still forced to use the Triumph, I have to deal with it.

NOW TO THE ISSUES XD sorry for the wait
1.
For some reason, my wifi tether likes to play head games with me. I am constantly finding myself going to the phone to reboot the tether app, no matter which one I use, because I have much difficulty trying to make either my iPod or iPhone connect to it. The native tether works only 25% of the time, and usually I can't get them to even connect to it. I understand this may be a MIUI issue. But the others work about 65% of the time, and usually they wont even begin to share the data with my iStuff until around 7. This is a major problem. I KNOW it is not a data connectivity problem (most of the time) because I can get really fast connections from the triumph, but my stuff will always say server connections time out, even though data to the phone is coming through fine. Makes me want to rip my hair out!

2.
Since the only issue I can narrow down to is MIUI, I am looking to switch to a better ROM. CM7 TG Reloaded perhaps? Problem is...NO SD CARD. I have TWRP instead of CWM. I made a backup but....little uneasy about it. Did it actually DO a full backup to the internal storage, that I can transfer to my computer via built in MIUI FTP? (since I have no data cables anymore, everybody keeps stealing them >.<)

Thank you guys, for taking the time to look at this. I am just so fed up with VM and still upset about my SD card, but it taught me to do backups more XD as soon as my iPhone is unlocked, I am definitely going to AT&T prepaid since I know I will get better service and the damn thing will just work >.<

I can't solve all your issues, however if you need a 2GB SD card just PM me your mailing address. When I was getting replacement phones they sent one in the last order.

Several pieces of advice for you. Although loosing your SD card and cables sucks, imagine if you had lost your phone? And never got it back? Luckily, I see multiple solutions for this on Android, and an Apple application that may help you if you loose your iPhone. There are apps for Android such as find my droid and Avast Antivirus with anti theft. Also, on your iPhone, search the app store for the find my iPhone app. I recommend backing up everything from your SD card next time to an external hard drive about once a month. Also, despite the iPhone not having external storage capabilities, it does have built in iCloud sync. Make sure you open up settings on the iPhone and tap iCloud and make sure all types of sync are enabled. You may have to create some accounts. For a Triumph ROM good at tethering, try MTDEV CM7.

The only reason I got it back was because I had a active tracker on it (Plan B<3) and we sent multiple texts to it and them (because we knew who did it -_-) and saying we would call police and we had tracks on my phone, iPod, and my friends iPhone as well. The phone and iPod was thrown into my friends driveway so I was lucky on that point. I have learned from my mistake and shall backup every week XD That's sort of why I am switching to iPhone on StraightTalk, it would just be a simple plug in and BAM already backed up. I will keep my triumph for development and learning on android purposes, so I am not necessarily leaving the community, it means I will do a LOT more ROM testing! :) and I shall try to flash CM7 as soon as I get a card XD unless there is a way to backup to internal storage? Thanks for the advice!

8 GB microSD is less than 10 dollars with free shipping on newegg.com. Also, get the Google+ app and turn on auto upload images to picasa web album. That way, you can never lose them. I still have my pictures from the first time I bought Triumph. Went through 3 SD cards already. Even videos.
