I'm switching out my phone soon for a different Evo V and was wondering if mine was above average. I can run stable at 1.89 ghz, anyone else? Hopefully it's normal otherwise I'll feel bad about switching it out :\

I could probably do 1.7ghz or something. If you want to go even higher

Overvolt!

;)

No idea why you would need it overclocked that high. It's fast enough isn't it??????

Make sure your phone won't overheat.

Is there something I'm missing or is my phone unable to be overclocked past 1180000 Hz? I'm running MeanRom with S-On and when I've tried SetCPU or Kernel Tuner this is the max speed shown.

You're probably using a kernel that doesn't support overclocking.

Most support up to 1.9ghz but I have no idea why you'd need a phone to be that fast. More cores clocked lower makes more sense to be honest.

I like to keep my max at 1.35ghz...just a little boost, but not enough to impact battery life or stability

anthraX... Flash with 4ext.

If you want to OC I would suggest flashing Midnight ROM. It's pretty awesome and xdakthemanx is pretty active and listens to his users. Couldn't be happier.

Can I flash anthraX with TWRP? Also, do I have to flash the kernel thru fastboot or the recovery? I am waiting to use a pc so I can flash MidnightROM. Do you flash the kernel or ROM first?

If you install midnight with Smartflash through 4ext it will install the kernel and the ROM. No need to flash anthraX separately at all.

If devs wanted to could they let us overclock to extremely high GHz? Lets say someone had liquid nitrogen lying around and cooled the phone while it ran 3GHz :P
