Help maximum video fps @ 1080p?!

Lurker
At the moment I can't determine for sure what the maximum fps mode at 1080p video recording is. Engadget claims that it maxes out at 24fps - but most other sites (Slashgear, phones4u, allgeek.tv, etc) claim that there is a 1080p/30fps spec. The official Google Galaxy Nexus page does not elaborate on this point... I tend to trust engadget, but could anyone with an actual Galaxy Nexus confirm one way or the other, please?

PS: all the sample videos I have seen posted so far (here and here) seem to exhibit the typical 24fps choppy-ness - though the descriptions in this video claim 30fps...

I believe they said 30 @ the unavailing

If you check GSMArena's pre-release Galaxy Nexus hands on first look dated October 19th, they provide a link where you can download a 1080p raw .mp4 video sample. According to media player classic and splash player file info, it's shot at a constant 30 fps.

And if you check bluechipJ's video comparison of the GN with the Optimus LTE on youtube dated Novermber 23rd, he provides a download link for his 1080p raw .mp4 videos. What's a little strange is that his videos are at 24fps.

A bit strange, so I wish I could try it out for myself, but being in Japan, the GN won't be released til sometime in December. Hope this helps.

Incidentally I can answer my own question since a few hours... My GN just arrived in the mail. At 1080p I can only get 24fps - I have to go to 720p to get 30. Aw well...
