Mcafee buying Wavesecure

i love wavesecure but this whole not being able to switch devices sucks. i am a guy who buys a new phone every 6 months and dont wanna pay for wave secure each time. our lifetime subscriptions should stay with our google usernames forever.. when i do switch devices backto smrtguard i go. why go ruin a perfectly awesome program by selling it to mcafee

Hi ddarvish,
Sorry for not being clear. I was referring to the free lifetime subscription. That offer is only for the device that WaveSecure was activated on.

If you have paid for a WaveSecure subscription, you can switch devices within that period of subscription. Hope that clarifies.

Thanks,

I thought it was for the phone number activated with, not the device?

They should have allowed activation through a google account and not restrict it to a single device (they do get replaced) or phone number (people can/do change them).

I would never purchase software or a service with that limitation.

That's a limitation on the free version of the app, given out during the beta period. If you'd read the other replies, you would have see it quoted: "If you have paid for a WaveSecure subscription, you can switch devices within that period of subscription. Hope that clarifies"

Your attitude reminds me of that of so many of the whiny BlackBerry owners who expect everything for free with no limitations.

No. I expect that a service I pay for should be able to move with different devices as they are replaced. Since it seems that is the case with WaveSecure (which I am not a user of), I think many users will be happy.

There seems to have been a lot of confusion over the terms of this service in regards to moving the license from one device to a new one.

I'm confused that there is confusion. From cheewee, in a previous post:

If you got the free lifetime subscription, your license is limited to one device. If you actually paid for a subscription (which I did), you can switch devices. And upon that point I heartily agree with you, that is, if one was unable to switch devices with a paid subscription it would be an app to steer clear of.

Hi guys,
Sorry for the delayed response and confusion. Let's set the record straight once and for all.

If you have purchased a WaveSecure subscription, there is no restriction and you can change as many devices as you like within the subscription period.

However, if you got WaveSecure free during the Android beta, the free lifetime subscription offer is only valid for that device it was activated on.

Hope that clarifies.
