Media player (Ipod touch substitute)

Hey I'm back on the Moto G forums again. I decided against getting the Moto G as my daily driver as it didn't quite have the battery capacity I was looking for so I ended up getting the Note 3 on the AT&T next plan. But that is besides the point. I was wondering if I picked up the 99 dollar prepaid Moto G from either Verizon or Boost would I be able to bypass all of the set up and whatnot in order to use it as a wi-fi only Ipod touch substitute? There are plenty of reasons to pick a cheap android over an Itouch anyway. For me in this particular case is the screen size the camera is a better quality for those just in case moments and I am already enveloped in the Android ecosystem. My note has plenty of storage but I really can't use it for music in places that I would want music due to its size, especially with the Otterbox I put on it. Examples being the Gym, out on a run, fishing as long as I don't get it wet and I would carry it around with me in places I wouldn't exactly want to be carrying a 700 dollar smartphone.

Thanks ahead for anybody who replies.
I would probably opt for the 16GB but if they don't have it it won't make much of a difference my music collection isn't massive I use spotify and pandora with my downloaded music library for maximum storage efficiency.

Yea, you wont have 3G service of course but Wifi and everything else will work fine.

I have been looking in to this for a little while. Is there any surefire way to bypass the VZW setup or do I have to do the drop down multitask button or that bypass Konami code thing with the volume buttons every time I boot the Moto G?

I think you can activate it and get a phone number without paying for any service. So you wouldn't have to see the activation screen anymore
