Overnight last night my battery drop was about twice as much as usual (about 20% instead of about 10%). When I checked alogcat there were hundreds, if not more, lines starting with 'Media Player'. About every 5th or 6th line was noted as an error but every few milliseconds Media Player had attempted to do something. I killed every app that I could think of that might be linked to Media Player including the internet but nothing stopped it. In the end I had to do a soft reset, which did fix it.
Obviously there is no app called Media Player so the task killers can't kill it directly. Is there any other way to get access to it to kill it?
