Media Scan picking up all images

I'm wondering about the folders that are scanned for new images. I've got 2 or 3 folders where I store images, everything else contains images for apps. I don't want the apps scanned, don't need 2 download folders and all that. Is there a way to have only the folders showing up that I want?

You are probably using the default Gallery app to view your images, that is why shows you all of the images. I use a free app called QuickPic that lets you include or exclude folders that you want to view the images in.

How android puts pictures from apps in the gallery and sound from apps into my music player is one of the areas where android needs to be made more uniform and streamlined. The hard way of keeping these files out of your gallery and music player is to put a .nomedia file in the parent folder where there are media files you dont want added.

I'll give this a shot, thanks for the reply.

I never even thought of that. I'll see what my options are with viewers. Thanks!
