Help Media Volume Problem

I've been having a problem with my media volume setting which is causing it to stay silenced. I usually have my phone set to vibrate but I'm unable to change the media volume in any way. Ringer and notification volumes don't give me any problems. I have found that if I turn my phone off and then on again the media volume will be turned on too but it will get stuck silenced again shortly after. Anyone have any idea what might be causing this? An app maybe?

I found your post through google as I'm having the same issues with my HTC Desire.

Out of interest, do you mind listing the apps you have installed? Maybe there's a rogue app out there that's causing this. Here's mine;
