Help memory problem on captivate help!

ok so yesterday i got the captivate my understanding is that from the factory the internal memory is 16gb i have dowloaded 2 taskillers and papi jump and it now says i have 1.07 gb of unused memory i dont get it

First let me say Hello, and welcome. Second I must say I'm new to android as well.

I do recommend you ditch the task killer. Just Google it. Research for yourself and decide. LINK.

I hate to ask, but do you know that you have TWO memory places?
Internal SD Card, internal phone storage. You can access your phones memory status by Home>Menu>Settings>SD card and phone storage.

Also, there is a sub forum for us.
