Help memory problems

So here is the deal. I recently upgraded to an android. I looked to see how much memory. I had today. Now internal memory is supposed to be 8gig. With an 32gig card in it. I have a decent amount of contacts. About 2 and a half home screen pages worth of apps and about 300 pictures. Now I have moved all apps that I could to sd card. And tried moving contacts to card. But already the internal memory is down to 2gig but ad cars is still at over 29 hugs. What all is saved to card and what is saved to phone and what can I so to free up a little space on phone so as to not hit any memory problems? ??? Thanks

It would be good to know what kind of phone you are using...
Get App2SD Free application from Market, move anything you can to SD card and clean the application cache (press menu for that).

Then get Quick System Info and post here your information.

I have a thunderbolt. I mean it has let me move all but 3 apps that I downloaded and preloaded apps, to the sd card. I deleted all my calls and texts to see if it has helped but nothin really... When I go to phone storage and sd staorage the internal space stays just over 2gig.

Thunderbolt has internal (SD) storage of 8GB, from which a certain amount (2GB?) is allocated for apps. Therefore, when you move apps to SD card, you are actually moving them to internal SD storage.
All you media (music, pictures, videos) should be moved to the external SD storage (32GB).
Try to verify this with Quick System Info and DiskUsage (both are free in the Market).

Okay thanks.. ill check into it .. So really the big sd card is only for large amounts of picrures and music etc??? Nothing to do with apps...?

You don't need to worry with 2 gigs free... Unless you have apps that are going to use up that space while running. To verify the latter, you'd need to monitor usage over time rather than usage just at one specific point in time.
