Well in galaxy s 2 moving apps from phone memory to sd card memory means actually moving apps into internal phone memory. So i presume that this process can be carried out without having an sd card inserted.
I have a SGS2 with no removable SD card in it right now. Tried moving an app or two to SD to see if it would go to the "internal SD memory" but it reported an error saying "Not enough memory" so assume that it only tried to move it to a removable SD card.
