Memory/RAM on Incredible S

Hi,

When viewing system information in Quadrant Benchmark, it reports my total memory is: 630192KB. This equates to only 615MB. I thought this model was supposed to have 768MB RAM.

Does anyone else have the same - is this correct?

Yes it shows the same in my IS. But I think its always like that. Available RAM is a percentage of total RAM. But I am not sure.
 
I understand the available RAM will be lower as a lot is taking up by the Android OS etc, but the figure I was quoting is Total RAM. I find it odd it's not showing the total 768MB.
 
Yeah maybe it means total RAM available to you because the rest is ALWAYS needed by the OS
