Merely Curious

Newbie
I have two accounts on my Droid. Comcast and Hot Mail. They both had check marks after them (right next to the little file folder).

I had to change my security code on the hotmail account, and now it doen NOT have a check mark after it. The Comcast still does.

What is that check mark supposed to represent?

Nothing critical here, just a nosy user. LOL

Thanks in advance......

If you are referring to the account list under accounts & sync, it merely means that the Android phone is able to access and sync the accounts.

Thank you for your response, however, the place I was refering to was when I hit "mail" and the two mailing accounts (Comcast and Hot Mail) show up.

There is the account name, then a little green dot with the number of new E-mails in it, then the check mark and then the folder icon. Hot Mail is not checked but mail sent to this address still shows up on the Droid.

Any ideas what that check is about?

I believe that indicatees the same thing, but mail apps vary across different Android phones, so hard to say for sure without seeing it in person.

OK, thanks again for responding. Like the title of this thread says, I'm just the curious sort. It does not seem to affect anything, so I'll just forget about it. (Until I get to a Verizon store! )LOL
