ok, before people take this the wrong way, there are many times this can be nothing short of bloody annoying, as this little icon does not have the brains to tell the difference ninety percent of the time what 'low' is. for some Androids, the threshold is ~25% of the phone/tablet's internal storage. for a large device, say upwards of 8GB of internal, this can still be plenty, and worse yet, it kills the sync so you don't get email or contact sync or sometimes, SMS messages. on the Merit, this is likely to kick in at ~25MB remaining, although some ROMs (namely, SpeedFreak) seem to have the threshold lowered somewhat, to around 16MB, but still it exists. my question, is there some sort of Build.prop tweak or some other hack to remove this little annoyance entirely? or at least lower the threshold as far down as it can go? I understand the purpose of it, but many people think it is one of the most annoying 'features' and I know when my space is low, I don't need a constant nag telling me this.
