Message alert light and Facebook sync

I had my phone set up so that when i got a text message the LED light in the right hand top corner flashed green. It was working fine, but it has now stopped working and i can not find the settings for it anywhere.

The light is still working fine for the e-mail notifications

I also had my phone book synced to my facebook, as i liked having the profile pictures in my phonebook. However that is no longer working now, even though the settings are set to sync??

Any ideas anyone?? Thanks

I use Handcent SMS and this gives you the option of choosing LED colour and flash frequency etc. I can't see any options within the stock messaging application.

On the Facebook thing I had something similar and I think I sorted it out by unchecking Facebook sync within the Facebook application and within the Phonebook and accounts, re boot the phone then re-apply the syncs and they came back. That said I have got a problem with some someone who has no twitter picture and that is taken in preference to the Facebook one and I cannot get it to use the facebook one as default so I left them unjoined.

Anyway, hope some of the above helps.

Thank you, that has pretty much sorted my FB back out, bar the odd few.

My green light has reappeared. But i have no idea how, and how i got it i the first place!! Ah well

Glad you are sorted (ish!) and don't question how it worked as long as you now have got your light back. Quirky blooming phones or what!?
