Help Message Notifications

Does anyone know how to set the Captivate for continuous message alerts.
I set my text message and voice mail alert, but it only chimes one time and that's it, so if I'm not near my phone at the time, I wouldn't know someone texted me until I go to use my phone. How do I set it to keep alerting me until I answer it?

I dont know of any native way to do this. You could do it with Tasker if you have that.

Download from the market "sms popup" You can set it to remind you up to 10 times or until you answer the text, also has interval mins. from 1 to 15 mins. Another reason to download this app is. I have custom ringtones/texttones for my most popular contacts, so when my wife or friend texts me i know who it is and if i need to respond quickly "wife" lol It lets you set pics for the contacts and when you get a text it has a popup on your screen with the message. Works really nice. hope this helps. There is alot of customizable settings

Sms Popup or Handcent will do this. I use the feature. Reminders, works great.
