Root Messages 2.3.4

I have froze Messages 2.3.4 and Messaging 2.3.4. I can't see any problem with my text messaging since this. Does anyone know what these 2 apps do?

Also, This isn't an issue but I'm curious if the following is normal for bootstrap. Every time I restart from being powered off it first goes to bootstraps (reboot, clear partition, etc, etc) menu. I just click reboot and it boots up. Like i said, just curious if this is normal.
 
Booting to cwm recovery is a common bootstrap error.
What cwm version 2.5xx or 5.0xx?
What system version?
 
ah, I didn't see the link.
I followed these instructions:
HOW to Fix
2. removed DX Bootstrapper 621 MOD app in settings/apps
3. using root explorer went to /preinstall and deleted recovery folder
4. redownloaded DX Bootstrapper 621 MOD
5.Hit the two buttons at the menu and made a new backup.

Rebooted and still does it. Looks like it only goes to CWM when rebooting after the device has been on charge.
 
could rebooting after step 3, then reinstall.
next step would be re-flash sbf/firmware and start over
