Help Messages App defaults to last message

Hello. My mother just recently got the Casio Commando 4G. she is a first time user and trying her hardest to learn how to use a smartphone. I personally am familiar with smartphones, but some of her issues i don;t know how to fix like this one. When she clicks on the Messages Icon and sends a message, If she clicks home, then tries to send another message later on, it immediately pops up the very last message she sent. My own smartphone ALWAYS defaults to the messages screen with the list of all messages, not a SPECIFIC one. I tried to search settings but can't figure out how to stop this. The only way i can see is to always click the back button all the way home, unless i can find a way to stop that. Any assistance would help her!

this is a feature, by going straight home, the app runs in the background, inorder to end the app you need to hit the button all android devices work with this if im not mistaken. (atleast every phone ive had this last year) you and her should both be in the habit of "backing out" of apps, instead of going back home and leaving them running.

yeah preety much. this is most phones, so its something she must get used to.
