Messages Notifications

I just bought a Lg Esteem and loving it. When my phone goes into sleep mode (black screen) and I get a message, it doesnt pop up or notify me, like as if I'm getting a call.

Does Handscents sms do that or is there a setting for this to be notified if your phone is in sleep mode or whatever it's called.

If the screen is off the LED notifies you.

Green= Email
Blue= text

And yes you can have pop up notifications with handsent.

Great, so even if the screen is off? Awesome...

Another question, i have my ringer and text messaging on vibrate, but it is so low i cant hear it like my other phone...anything that i can use to make the vibrate a little louder?

Also, i downloaded the handscent sms and it worked but both messaging programs (default and handscent) were running...How do i just use handscent?

just use go sms when ur phone asleep u will still get the pop u screen I use it it cool I can reply faster
