Help Messaging app.

Hey guys. Recently bought a note 2 n7105t. And my messaging app doesnt display pictures in my messaging app in the left side. Is this normal? Thanks. I cant find any fix on the interwebs.

Is the messenging app "Facebook Messenger" because you need to install Facebook Home on your phone to function those pictures of your friends called "Chat Heads". I hope this helps...

I have facebook messanger with "Chat Head" and I do not or will not install facebook home.

Have you tried using another app like Handcent and see if the problem still exists?

Handcent worked for me. But i still have this annoyance because the stock messaging app doesnt have pictures

All I can think of if you dont want to use Handcent, is reset the phone or take it in to your carrier and see if they can fix it.

Hi

The stock app does not have pictures in the conversation line, only in the list of conversations before you open one. I dont think there is anything wrong with your phone. If you came from htc or iphone I think you would have had the pictures before. Best to try another app.

That screenshot above looks like the list of conversations. I have pictures of the contacts on mine. Something is off with OP's stock messenger app. Maybe clear the cache? The other thing I could think of is where are the sources for the contact pictures? Maybe the stock messenger app does not show certain type of contact pics.. like the ones from facebook?

use handcent and disable notifications on the stock messaging app. Done.

Yes that is the convo list when you open Messaging.

Yes it does appear on my Contacts. Could this be because this is N7105T?

I can't seem to edit my primary shortcuts beside my App drawer icon too.
