Messaging Application for the DHD

Hey guys, can any of you give me a very nice messaging app for the DHD? Coz the pre loaded messaging app is plain and boring :) Im hoping for a messaging app that comes with a cool widget too. Thanks in advance :)
 
I don't know about widgets, but Handcent, Chomp SMS and Go Sms are the main three people seem to use.
 
I use GoSMS - Try it out, its excellent!! Much better than chomp and handcent as it has NO ADS :D and loads of themes for it. you must give it a go at least, i love it :)

I have tried go sms and its really beautiful but I could not find one very imp feature in it, it does not have any notification for sms received as its there in stock sms settings

I dont mean sent notification but I am loking for reveived otification when a sms is reveived by receipient

anyone know where to get this setting in go sms ?
 
Do you mean a notification message advising you that your.message was received or read by recipient?
The only thing I can find is notification the its been received. Which is in settings_sent
 
Hi , i have just got GoSMS after reading this thread. I dont see how its much different apart from the background?
Im a brand new Desire HD user, so still learning the phone!

I really want to take the vibrate off as you key each letter in the text??? Any possibility???

Settings/Language & Keyboard/Touch Input/Text Input/Vibrate when typing.
 
One thing I find with Go is that when the popups come up, if I reply in that popup, I find as I type more, it's overlaying what is in the original popup. Handscent doesn't do that, but hope someone has an idea on how to overcome it in Go, because I do prefer it
 
I have been using GoSMS since november last year after my mate told me about it! is really is excellent :D
 
All the way with GoSMS... but why is it free? Where do they get their money (scared a little).

lol yeah where do they get their money :/ - but anyway its an excellent app and even the pro version is free so +1 to the Go Dev Team! :D
 
anyone else had the issue like me then when replying on the popups, that you can't see the last line of the message? Hard to explain:)
 
i personally dont use the popups. i prefer not to use that :P
