Help Messaging icon gone?

Just registered on here to try and solve the issue I'm having with my S4. Earlier on, as I received a text, I got a notification saying that I had run out of space on my phone so I clicked it and nothing happened. From then on my message icon has disappeared and I can't get it back. I've tried messaging contacts through the telephone icon but it leads me to Skype instead. I think I've well and truly ****** my phone and I don't know how to sort it out.

Look and see if the icon is in your App drawer (the icon at the bottom of the screen that looks like a circle with three dots in it). Find "Messaging", long-press the icon, and drag it onto your homescreen. You can drag it back down to the bottom if you want from there.

If you were using a third-party messaging app (like Go SMS or Chomp SMS), look for that one instead.
