Help messaging keeps crashing

has anyone else noticed that their messaging service crashes from time to time?
i have the latest updates and its still happening.
on average once every two days and i have to reboot the phone to get it working again


any ideas?

Can you back up the conversations that you want to keep? eg. through Kies Air or MyPhoneExplorer - because you may loose data.... Also note what settings in the messaging app that you are using, in particular the Messaging centre number.

Try this - go to settings, applications, manage applications then All. Scroll until you find 'Messaging' and select it. In the dialog hit the buttons for Clear Cache, and clear data (which will wipe all the messages, and all your settings). This should take it back to factory state with a blank screen. Re-enter the settings you want, esp. messaging centre number. It will wipe data but it should stop crashing. You could just try to clear the cache first and see how you go - which will leave the data intact.

so i'm the ONLY one with 'messaging force closing' issues
ps, i'll try the 'clear cache' thing next time it acts up, thanks for the tip.
