Help Messaging problem after froyo update.

On 2.1 I used handcent and loved it, never had a problem. After updating handcent was extremely slow even after installing and reinstalling. I tried the stock messaging app and it's very slow too. I'm now trying chomp sms and it's still kinda slow as well. Is anybody having this problem? Could it be just a messaging bug in 2.2?

Try going into managing apps and see if the cache can be cleared on handcent. I use handcent and I swear where I used to watch the little spiny thing for a few seconds when i sent a message. It sends the message right away now.

I ended up doing a factory reset and it fixed everything! Loving froyo now!

Mine just flipped out on me also. Tried clearing cache on Handcent and Messages programs and even uninstalled Handcent. Can't get into even the plain Messages program now, just freezes!
