Messaging "Profile" Picture?

Okay well it seems like I have been making a lot of threads lately asking for help, and I apologize. But here is another thread :p

I like the standard messaging app, it serves it's purpose. What I cannot figure out though, is how to get a picture instead of the little android guy. (See picture below), I know on handcent, you can register then put in a profile picture, which I don't know if it changes that image or not, but I was hoping someone could help me out.

Please and thank you!

also you can hide the "me" contact using contact groups (not sure if you can manage the groups on the phone but i know you can on the gmail website)

When in Messaging apps and conversation thread, you see "Me: blah blah blah" and your friend's "Mr XXX: Blah Blah Blah". My question is, how do I make a profile photo appear for "Me"? That is myself. I tried to save a contact of myself with a photo, naming it to "Me" or even have my own number on that profile, but the profile photo does not load. Anyway to make it do so?

I'm using the default Messaging app that came with the phone.

I'm using the default messaging app, too. Add your number, name it Voicemail, and add your picture. Even though you've named the contact Voicemail, it will still show up in your text messages as Me. ;)

FYI: Id never use that to check my voicemail as it does eat your minutes.. use a landline instead. That won't eat your minutes. :p

Yeah, any contact that comes into messaging, I just add as a contact, then go search for a web image (like if it's VM or a local radio station), then add that image to the contact. Then when VM sends you a text, their logo appears. Need to make sure your phone# is in your "me" contact (although I use my name and it still finds the contact picture).
