Messaging Question

I'm considering purchasing the Moto G but wanted to know about sending and receiving messages. When a person sends out a message to multiple recipients, will I see all the recipients they sent to? Also will I be able to send a response to all or just the sender?

I currently use hangouts as my messaging app. It supports multiple recipient and does show them all. I think for one group message I'm in there are 9 people in the group.

However it's sometimes hard to add or remove people because hangouts doesn't always allow additional people or others to be dropped and then I will have to create a whole new group and invite all the people that want to be there.

Hangouts needs some updates. Hope the ones from Google io come out soon.
