Help 'Messaging' threads don't pull contact photos

In 'Messaging' my contacts pictures do not display to the left of the thread. Its shows the blue default picture. They display in 'Contacts' and 'Buddies Now' but not in Messaging.

Anyone know how to fix this? Or have an alternative? I would prefer to get a fix as some of the alternatives I've DL i dont like (launcherPro etc)
