Help messaging!

Okay so i just downloaded Go SMS Pro and im trying to make it my default messanger! Everywhere i've looked people say to disable the default SMS but i have looked EVERYWHERE and there is no option for that. Im also trying to delete/hide the message icon on my home page menu. No not the widget i already know how to hold and drag those to the trash but everytime i try to do it with the actual message icon it just takes me to the edit page and i cant delete it. Please help me!

To disable the stock just open it up and press your soft key all the way to the left on your phone and select settings and scroll down and uncheck the notification box.

What home launcher? The stock one?

Yes i already did that it still isnt working! :/ and yes the home one. im just trying to make it so when i click my message icon it makes the go sms pro default or get rid of the message icon all together and replace it.

All you have to do is disable the notifications in the stock one.

For the home launcher, open your app drawer, has to be from the app drawer, long press GO SMS and drag it straight to the dock. It only works if you go straight from the app drawer. Just place it on top of the stock SMS icon

Ugh thank you that will solve my problem. :) but where and what is the app drawer.. haha sorry im completely clueless

also so u won't get double messages from stock and go sms, go to stock sms then settings scroll down and uncheck auto retrieve so with doing that u will only receive messages from go sms

i've been slacking on downloading Go SMS Pro, does anyone know that after i do so & make it my primary msg app, will i lose all the msgs i have on the stock one? i ask, coz i have some texts i still have to copy data from & well, i will if i will lose them after the switch, but if not necessary, then i won't. uh, yeah, not exactly a "problem", but just curious & i can't lose some of these msgs, and there's a lot, so i guess play it safe & copy what is important? (mean, i will do that, but just wanna know if i don't really have to)
tia for any help, answers!
