Help Messeging???

ok i have downloaded chompsms, handcentsms, and gosms but all of the always gives me two incoming messeges... i have already turned off the notification setting in the one that the phone comes with but the rest of the keep giving me two... does anyone know how to stop this???

Do you mean that you are getting two notifications when one text comes through are or you getting the same text message twice?

If it's the latter then I'm having the same issue. It's a Cricket issue in your area because both me and my wife get duplicate messages and when we send a text the recipient gets it twice. I've spoken to Cricket and they claim its due to the merger between them and Pocket.

I have the same issue with MetroPCS. I get duplicate messages, and since I upgraded to "CYM7" on my Ascend I also get repeated notifications of messages I already read. I also have "SMS Backup" installed since I frequently install new ROMs or go back to old ones. Anyone have any clues as to how to fix this?

its not the rom that causes this, its the carrier, i for one can vouch for that and its a common issue, check metro's facebook. Also dont install and 2.1 sms.apk to 2.3 it will mess you good...
