Help messenger with voice calls over internet not blocked?

Is there a messenger app with voice calls over internet, messenger to messenger, not blocked by the cell operator?

I know skype to skype voice calls are blocked by Virgin Mobile and many others. What about yahoo messenger or any other?
 
I find a lot of these VoIP apps for phones are not that great, even over wifi,they tend to lag,and the sound quality can be poor.
 
I've had success with Tikl...which functions like a walkie-talkie, can include multiple people, and has decent sound quality.

I just tried this app out, it is really good thanks a lot man. Just quick question how do you turn off the beeps,I tried searching through the setting but it just lets me change them not completely turn them off, any information would be great. Thanks
 
What would be awesome is if they made the camera button the talkie button that way you can still have the screen off and save battery life
