Root Metro ascend fast boot help...

So I have been reading over the forums and the How to flash the Huawei Ascend back to Stock: forum all the way through...

I have been trying to do it using fast boot and no matter which way i try it, it stays stuck on the android screen. I dont know how long i should be waiting its been about 30 minutes though.

The first way I tried was to end call vol down turn phone on then press the metropcsstock-windows

other way was hitting adb/fastboot/metropcs stock in that order both ways it reboots to the android screen and the only thing i see on my computer is the android usb pop up on my pc screen asking if i want to transfer files or anything. Aside from that nothing is happening. Did I miss a step ? or should i start over or keep waiting? any help would be appreciated.

It definitely shouldn't be taking 30 minutes and hanging on the Android screen.

I'm going to make an assumption here: You're running the .bat file from your PC, and you get a DOS window that pops up. Now, when this happens, I'm assuming you're not seeing an error message, just that it does what it's doing, then goes away, and your phone reboots. When it does reboot, are you leaving the phone connected to the USB cable, or are you disconnecting it?

Reason for asking: with my old Ascend, if I rebooted it while connected to USB, it would not continue booting, although mine would freeze at the white Huawei screen, as if I had powered on with the Fastboot key combo. I had to disconnect it from USB for it to boot.

Also, were you running a custom ROM prior to attempting to flash back to stock? Extra details always help people answer your question.
