Metro claims they can't reactivate my phone.

Got Reppards mod installed and I went to get my phone turned back on. The customer service rep there said they couldn't get my phone into service mode, whatever that is. They kept trying to dial ##626* and didn't get anything and said they couldn't turn it back on.

Is this normal?

Dropped it back down to original 2.2 MetroPCS (and threw up a little) and it's goes into the service menu fine now. On my way back to Metro. Hopefully once it's back on everything will still work fine after I flash everything back to custom.

Well its a ROM, MetroPCS employees don't know there way around it. Just remember to backup and always restore back to stock whenever taking your phone in.

Apparently I didn't know my way around it. Dialing anything on it always seemed to end with a recording telling me the phone couldn't be serviced at the time. At any rate it's turned back on. Now for the process of rerooting it and installing a custom rom back on it.

Andy that's because for some reason CM7 has the secret menus removed in the ROM itself. So any of the CM7 ROMs we have here will not have the programming menus. I know at one point someone had pulled them from a 2.2.1 ROM and were trying to integrate them. But no success.

that happened to my ex optimus...i sold it to my friend and she went to get it activated but they said they couldn't do it...later that day she told me about it, gave it back to fix it...all i did was replace Reppard's rom with chickeneater rom and voila! i was able to activate it through *228
