metro deleting stuff?

hey guys just bumped into a situation that probaly needs a close look at for those that have changed the power on wav i need ya to verify if ya still have the poweron.snd and the poweron.wav especially if ya are using the new basix rom. heres my reason why, few days ago this is how much space i was using on my phone if u look on top much space i was using and how much space i had left

now look it again

see any difference??? not only am i using less space i have no longer have neither a default poweron.wav or .snd file i think metro is playing dirty i have not installed or removed anything seems other peeps are experiencing this so i need to know how many others can confirm this with their phone. thanks in advance! i dont think konane and his dev has removed this on their rom but it could be something they could look into just incase.

The shot is from a file manager looking into the /etc directory on the phone.
Any file manager should do. What he's interested in is the size of the used part of your internal memory, and whether or not that size inexplicably shrunk lately. Also, whether or not your PowerOn.snd and PowerOn.wav files have disappeared.

I never had them to begin with, so I guess I don't qualify.
Sounds more like paranoia to me, but hey, you never know. He might be unto something...

k0nane did remove them in his ROM, check his changlog in the basix thread it shows "removed startup sound"

thanks buddy for confirming just had to make sure anyways people were complaining about their sound files missing i guess i missed the part where he said something about it and the changes log as well..

Yeah I seen a few ppl here posting that they cant add a startup sound for some reason I havent tried it myself but k0 has explained how to make it wrk a few times but ppl still cant seem to get it to wrk. I myself luv tht its gone lol!!

yea it makes sense it was removed for quicker boot time but perhaps a nifty lil toggle somewhere in setting to turn it off or turn it on wouldnt be a bad idea.
