Help (metro/t mobile) I need help!!! Asap

I have a Tmobile plan right now. But I recently just bought a Metro Pcs Galaxy s3 with a CDMA Sim Card slot. I just wasted all of the money I spent because Metro told me its impossible to unlock to Tmobile. I dont want to use Metro because it will soon have bad signal since the CDMA towers are being knocked down. So what to do???? Simple mobile??? Root??? What? Help.

And no its not blacklisted or bad esn.

I've moved this into the general Galaxy s3 forum until it becomes root related if it does.

Just for clarification, is your s3 CDMA (no sim) or GSM (sim)? As you stated above a CDMA Sim card slot which is a bit confusing.

Do you have the blue or white s3?

If you have the CDMA version (white s3), it can't be used on t mobile since t mobile isn't a CDMA company.

However if you have the GSM version (blue s3), there should be ways to unlock it as long as it's not blacklisted to use on t mobile.

Metro recently sold you the white version?

 they shouldn't have, from what I heard metro stopped selling the white since they soon are phasing out CDMA altogether.

Unfortunately though it can't be used on t mobile since no CDMA devices can be used with them.

So what should I do?? Use simple mobile?? I just spent $130 on this. I bought this off of a friend. So its basically bricked? CDMA unlock?

In this case, you can look into having your s3 flashed to another carrier but it's more tricky than having a device unlocked.

With it being metro, I'm not sure what carriers you can have it flashed to and everything work as it should.

If you have good page plus service in your area (I think they use Verizon towers), that's one to look into.

Most CDMA phones can't be unlocked. If you flash to another carrier, I doubt they will be able to get 4G working. You might be able to go to a metro store for a trade in, they'll give you a price of how much it's worth....maybe you can get a discount on a GSM S3 which can be unlocked to T-Mobile.
