MetroPCS 4G not all that impressive

Is there anyway you can post a link so I could verify that.... I actually keep $20.00 on my travel talk at ALL TIMES just in case there's some family emergency and I have to go somewhere where I dont get coverage....

I never heard of the extended home network.....

Agreed, when I signed up with Metro, the coverage map is what made the decision for me. I was looking at several different 'economic' phone plans and Metro seemed to have the best nationwide coverage. (At least for the <$50 plans)

It's not really necessary to keep $$ in travel talk acct @ all times. If you are going to be traveling not only check the coverage map for your destination but also the route. Even then, I always put @ least $10 in just to be safe.
 
I agree T-Mobile HSPA+ is not really 4G but its faster than Metro 4G LTE will ever be try getting 29.90 mbps down and 15.70 mbps up with Metro 4G LTE
 
when i had a 4G phone from metro , i was averaging 5-7MBPS DOWN In port charlotte FL , & Sarasota was around 3MBPS ... some markets have it better
 
And what is the point of having unlimited slow Metro 4G if it has few markets? and once you.go out a 4G market you.have no good 3G to fall back to cause metro 3G is capped at 120 kbps?
 
I get 4mbps going both ways where I'm at so metro works great for me. And since I don't travel I never leave the coverage area.

4mbps is enough to stream whatever video I need with no hassle. You don't need 20mbps to stream video, surf the web, and sync up your email and social media and the stuff you would need such speed for like downloading huge files will use up your data allowance in no time flat.

So again, the 5gb limit makes those speeds useless and irrelevant.

Well i do travel and have coverage where ever i go but metro has so little coverage that it uses sprint mostly and if.you can have 20mbps why not? even if.you do have a cap you still get more coverage with T-Mobile than metro
 
Go with the carrier that works best for you. My point is the high speed is irrelevant with the throttling.
 
I don't travel and I stay within those 14 locations so I'm covered here at Metro. What's the use of having 200 channels if you're only gonna ever watch 10?

It's all what service fits your specific needs.
 
Thats true Metro is.good for.you if you dont travel much but i live in L.A. and travel to Fresno or SF and vallejo to visit family
