How do you get your server location to be in Miami? Everytime I run a speed test, my server location is in some far away state. I'm not sure if that may affect my speed test results or not. I always have my GPS off, maybe that has something to do with it?

I would love to run more speed tests, but I'm on the 2.5 GB plan. Before I began hitting all those great numbers, I was at about 1.5GB with a week left. But all those pretty high numbers ate away at my data plan and now I'm down to 1g speeds until the 23rd lol. Strangely, it seems to throttle my speeds for about 24 hours or so. After I ran those massive speed tests, I was brought down to 1g for about a day. The next day, I had 4g LTE back again. I ran more speed tests, mainly hitting the 30's, but was brought down again. Not sure if I will get 4g LTE again today or if I'll have to wait until the 23rd

Not Something to do with it, Everything to do with it.

How else do you think it "knows" where you Are in order to get a closer to you server?

Don't listen to that "leave your GPS on and it'll suck your battery" stupidity. It ain't so. GPS only "comes on" when some running app needs it's data. (So yes, GPS Could run it down if say you left Nav opened all the time when you weren't using it.)

Leave your GPS turned on.

(Once it says in your notification drawer "Location set by GPS" the app SHOULD know where you are and bring up the list of closest servers. Speedtest is pretty wonky for me, it Still doesn't always use the close servers even knowing where I am.)

Thanks! I ran the test with the GPS on and it picked up a Miami server. I never use the GPS which is why I leave it off along with all the other things I don't use, but now I know how to get the closest server.

I'm editing this because I'm going to be nice, just be careful on how you respond to things because my comebacks might upset you.

No, your comments definitely wont in any way alter my attitude. Seems like if you got a smart comment to return then the only one it would be bothering is you

Show off :p

This is what I've been averaging back in like half of Palm Beach ever since last week when they combined Tmo and Metro LTE . Actually they added metro LTE subscribers to Tmo LTE but no additional spectrum was added. Then it's like they haven't increased the backhaul capacity.

Wow! I haven't posted lately because my speeds have come down to 20 Mbps again and been averaging in the mid teens for over a week. I was averaging 30 Mbps for nearly a month before this though. Might just be some upgrade that brought down my speeds.

Hey guys, just posting here hoping to find answers and understand better. Been having bad signal, i posted a link to an image in my drive. Hope thats okay, Queens NY, Nexus 5 CM11.

Considering that a year ago I would have been happy to get half of this I'm pretty satisfied.

For those guys getting the 40-55 range very nice. Im getting about 26down on my motion. Thinking if I should do move and lose my 55

damn i'm jealous of these speed results.

i got a blu studio 5.5 on metropcs and i've only gotten up to 2 mbps download, 1.4 upload and pinged around 40-60ms.

i've run multiple test at different times of day too. even tried different apn settings too.

any suggestions for getting better speed?
