Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] 4g/3g/1x/ and no service

Lately my phone has been switching from 4g to 3g then 1x and all of a sudden no data all in a matter of minutes. I know its not the ROM I'm on because its the same one I've been on for a month and everything was working great until Aug 15th...

I notice I had to update my moms phone (lg esteem) for her data to work because hers was doing the same shhhhh..

Does anyone know what to do so I can get my data to work again.. This is annoying I constantly have to put my phone on airplane mode and then off airplane mode just to get at least a 1x signal
 
I was worried about the same thing and I wasn't sure what to do, so I switched to Metropolitan and everything has been good. I was running Goodness and Xenon and it seemed like my service sucked. I really like changing ROM's just to keep things different buy until I know for sure I sticking with Shabby's Metropolitan, it is definitely a great ROM.
 
Greetings . May I ask what carrier you got Tmobile or sprint .cause if you Tmobile and rooted you need to unroot make a copy and get to the stock or see if that update button is greyed in the settings . If so you need these files call Lte images in the etc. Folder with out these files u are flat line. The files help you to connect to the metro/tmobile towers . So who is your carrier .:eek::D:screwy:

I have the same problem... I have metro pcs.....
 
May i ask are you rooted or have modded in some kind of way if not its a update . And its very critical without it you are a flatline

im a bit confused, what device are you talking about? id like to move y our posts to where you might get teh best response
 
I am talking about the esteem and s3 but the user still have not said what carrier . Now which phone was you talking about .
 
well im gunna go out on a limb and say the person posting on the metropcs sgs3 forums, with her carrier set to metropcs would be inquiring about her metropcs sgs3. however your post was talking about files and tmobile and honestly im not sure i really understood. thats why i asked what you were having a problem with so i could move your posts to the correct forums where someone would be able to assist you.
 
You are so right . But did the user say what carrier she has yet . Metro and tmobile had a merger and the merger has many devices that has os updates . Google it itz on facebook .and also posted up in the county jail next to them wanted posters .
 
Wel maybe if you would see what the merger has done to metro pcs and tmobile . You would understand but can i ask do you have any of these phones or are you on any of those carriers , Tmobile or Metropcs and it wasnt no problem i was helping her out with giving her a clue that the user may need to update her sw.

This is teh CDMA Metropcs SGS3 forums, pre-merger. so everyone on these forums is on teh metropcs network and the only updates are the ones listed in my return to stock thread. the blue gsm "metropcs" sgs3 has a separate forum.

marixxaa: what is your current baseband? settings > about phone > baseband information, just need the last 3 characters
 
I take it you are the forum helper . I got tmobile and metropcs . I got the problems she got . You with sprint i dont think you in the same boat with us . Now how can you fix this issue

come on lets not fight here and bro shabby has been a metro pcs dev for a long time he knows wat hes doing and hes had the gs3 and is familiar with metro im sure he knows wat hes talking about man;)
 
Well he needs to tell us how to fix the problem. And you said he was a metro pcs holder what happen got back for some pushtotalk junk
 
Whats up with the data issue the mms and sms dont work and data keeps dropping since the tmobile thing took over . Now how can u fix my problem i did the over the air and manual programming any other things u can fix with my baseband is GLOCK-23

why you gotta disrespect shabby ? he knows what he's doing. He's been a metropcs dev for quiet a while and he's helped many out including myself. show shabby some respect.

Yep shabby and pg have been helping me since my first android which was the Samsung admire
 
I have MPCS SG3 and Esteem...I had data probs on SGS3 when I first updated OTA MF2. Now I have no probs. Esteem had no probs after update ZVE with LG Tool and no probs now.
