Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] Cherry picking. Need help

So I've ventured into the world of cherry picking from gerrit. AOKP to be exact.

I'm trying to learn exactly how to cherry pick a change or implementation but I'm just got getting it and every tutorial I find leaves out the past I don't understand and that's the terminal commands.

Can someone help me out with how I can go about cherry picking. I know you copy the "git fetch" code for the cherry pick portion but I don't know the terminal part of the process.

Info or links would be great.

Yes this isn't s3 related but I get no info elsewhere and this thread can be wrapped up quickly.

here is a script i run on my toroplus stuff that merges in some stuff i want/like the best part is that it repo syncs and cleans out the cherry picks on every build so i dont have to worry about errors in the sync
