Can anyone tell me how to edit my user name in settings=about phone=status?

funny i dont have a user name on stock. what rom are you using if its any of the usc roms im not sure but if anything go to system then scroll all the way till u see build prop i dont think it will be there but just take a look just incase.

Im on metropolis. And I already looked in build.prop it wasnt there.

I think this is completely carrier based.

I've checked the build props from a stock and cm10.1 and nothing here either.

Nothing on bb6 either. Never saw that either when I do run metropolis

You can edit it by using dfs 4.0.1.1 I did it on my s3

ok yea i found it on metropolis its on about device then at top status then scroll down till u see it. not sure if i would want to edit that seems important.

might want to edit you MIN also as someone could get your number by that way also. The MIN is just a phone-number-like number that the carrier uses to identify your line.
