im guessing you tried restoring the non de-odex version?
Does it matter that mrpnut is showing Sprint as his carrier and not MetroPCS. Just curious.
My wife got the update yesterday
Edit: forgot to mention you have to be on 100% stock to received the updated if your on a custom rom and you get the notification that theres an software update and you except it you wont get it, it will send you to your custom recovery (twrp or cwm) wat ever recovery you flashed.
no most of us use twrp recovery its like clock work mod but on steroids so for me i made one stock backup of ics rom with all bloatware that comes with our phone. then i have 5 other recoveries of roms ive personally used such as bb6 bb7 and aokp and cm10 and metropolis roms. when the official jb firmware is released that will just be another stock rom for my collection.you use goomanager to flash these roms right? and isnt backing up and restoring your apps a hassle when you factory reset and try a new rom or switch between roms?
i take it you havn't installed any custom recovery? if so i highly recommend twrp.Suggest removing these as well ld.

Guys any news on the update?
And shouldn't samsung have it on threw there Jellybean update site every carrier is there but Metro
so has anyone tried it through kies?
oh cricket got their update?
thats just saying you have a secured boot.img, still might want to put on the stock recovery before agreeing to anythingeven though my phone is rooted, under device status, it shows "Normal" wonder if that will effect the "update to JB"? not sure how I got it that way but this is what I did. returned to stock unrooted, rooted phone and loaded TWRP for recovery, did a back up, and then tried Carbon ROM... few days later decided to go back to the backup that I had, and after reboot, checked device status and it showed "Normal"

Guys quick question which update are we really getting from metro forsure 4.1? or 4.1.2?
At this point, I think most of us just want to get anything. Although you can get JellyBean with a ROM already, there's something about a nice stock feeling that I just like compared to ROMS (no bugs obviously), I would guess 4.1.2 though.
Leaving from the the Indulge has left a horrible imprint on Metro for me though, we got nothing. Although I know this is a new phone, and it's clearly better in every way, it can still happen. Although there would be more people to piss off this time, unlike the limited people who had the Indulge.
o and hey shabby, i love you bro hahahahahaha jus wanted to say that so everyone knows how awesome you are!!! (like they needed me to say anything) haha
yes and no, there is no stock jellybean rom. metropolis 1.0.5 is based off the official metropcs software i got, didnt do anything major to it besides convert it to flashable zip. so any bugs in it are so far from samsung (and my crappy script :O)
