Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] [KERNEL][Linaro][OC/UV]KT747 Kernel 2.1GHz

Hey guys I was wondering I got a backup of my old stock rooted ROM. If I restored that would that change my kernel back to the stock kernel?? If so would I have to wipe cache, dalvek and fix permissions again after I restore it or is it just simply restoring my old ROM via cwm and that's it.

Brings you back to the kernel you had when you made the backup.

All you have to do is restore. No wiping needed.

Anybody have this kernel with stock TW Rom? I only hear ppl with custom roms flashing kt747. I'm still new to this flashing thing, as I'm on stock rooted Rom.

you will brick your phone, thats for ATT and they use different radios than metro does. And they only kernels thats safe for our phones, are the ones that shabby and chiwen had made for our version of the s3.

and any uscellular kernels. if you guys find any of those then they shoudl work without any issues. since us cellular is the same software/hardware. its why when i ported faux123's kernel it was cuz there was no d2usc version and i had to make it for us

for instance http://teamuscellular.com/Forum/topic/3472-kernel-ktoonsez-kt747/ this is a d2usc 4.2 kernel that should work for everyone

its also how i have lean kernel on metropolis rom :O ;P

with roms youll have issues iwth data and mms but overall the phones are very similar

I should give it a try I'm back on stock for now can't wait for the official update and have a nice clean jelly bean touch wiz rom who's with me lol

Think everyone is looking forward to that that official update right now I'm rocking the MorPH rom everything is smooth and I like that I can change the toggles and hv a extended power menu
