and any uscellular kernels. if you guys find any of those then they shoudl work without any issues. since us cellular is the same software/hardware. its why when i ported faux123's kernel it was cuz there was no d2usc version and i had to make it for us
for instance [SUPPORT] (Kernel) ktoonsez kt747 - 4.2.x JB Q&A/Discussions - TeamUSCellular this is a d2usc 4.2 kernel that should work for everyone
its also how i have lean kernel on metropolis rom :O ;P
Thanks for all of the awesome work you do!I snagged this kernel for my DeviantXone Rom. Everything is going great...with the exception of overclocking. If I put the max on anything above 1512, it reboots. All of the other settings are sticking, but I just can't overclock. I was wondering if you had a solution for this.
If you like kt747, use the one on post #101 in the deviant thread. I've used it with no problems with deviant. If you want to try bms go to the entropy mod thread & try it. I'm on bms kernel right now
I've flashed over Blackbean Baked wiping cache and performing reset prior ...
i flash GAPPS inverted...
I flashed kernel... Wiped Cache, Wiped Dalvik, and Fixed Permissions...
When i reboot it gives me a black screen and sits there. I know the phone is on because i have to pull battery for it to reboot. Wont reboot again until i wipe everything and reflash the baked ROM.
Any ideas? I am really wanting to install this.
Thanks!
Which version are you flashing? For Baked, I think you have to use the 4.2 version. Check post #203
I was able to get it working with the other version you recommended
The confusing part was that the guide told me that the ktweak app should not give any popup msg when u first enter the app and mine did and CPU was maxed at 1500. But once I clicked on enablr clocking steps it allowed me to overclock.
Antutu keeps closing by itself whenever i try to oc to 2.1 but im stable at about 1.7... If you guys know any tricks to help me go higher thatd be awesome. I know that each cpu is different though and not all can be oc'd the same.
Thanks again.
Exactly which one you used I haven't had any luck
CM10 let me go to 2.1. I think that was the only one I tried, as far as 4.1 roms go. Also, this kernel only works on AOSP roms, not TW
I have had that issue too. Take this with a grain of salt... All of the 4.2 roms that I use don't let me go past 1.8,and some not past 1.7. 4.1 roms on the other hand... Those bad boys let me go to 2.1.![]()
Thanks for the info. That's good to know. This kernel works awesome for me. All day at work had 4g going and ran like 6 benchmark tests and still had 25 percent battery while overclocked to 1.7
I may use the 4.1 just to see what 2.1 oc can really do. But idk... If it ain't broke don't fix it......
What am I talking about? Flashing addicts flash whether its broken or not![]()
I'm using carbon ROM I tried the one on post 203 but it just stayed at the Samsung galaxy s3 with the cyanogen mod logo
This kernel is for AOSP roms, like Cm or AOSP. Your stock rom is Touchwiz, also referred to as TW. Try this link: http://androidforums.com/showthread.php?p=5815118Can I flash this kernel over stock Rom? Please excuse my noobness

It's got Lean kernel for TW roms in the thread. I hear good things about it. Hope that helps
I guess I could've just said "No, it won't" lol
