SO, a while back, I was here flashing CM 10.1 Experimental ROM, clear data, dalvik+cache, etc., then I flash gaaps, boot the phone, and then I go back into recovery to flash the kernel.
Per the recommendations of almost everyone here, I tried flashing the US Cellular Version of my favorite Kernel (KT747) for Linaro 3.0, (since at the moment, that's what the ROM was running) and it didn't boot. At all. After many troubleshooting attempts, I got mad and installed the VZW kernel, knowing I could end up bricking my phone, and it miraculously worked.
When it was update time, and CM10.1 was now running a 3.4 Kernel, I did a clean flash, and then I tried, AGAIN, with the 3.4 version of the USC KT747 Kernel. It didn't work. Then I wiped, flashed the ROM again, and tried the LeanKernel for USC. It didn't boot. I tried the VZW kernel... it worked!
I'm now running Carbon ROM with the newest Verizon Wireless Kernel... but I'm just wondering why it is that this Kernel is working for me, why the USC kernel ISN'T working, and why my phone didn't brick when I flashed the VZW kernel?
