Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] landscape mode Rotation and update

I'm not sure if I'm the only one this is happening too but my home screens won't go to landscape but as soon as i open an app like browser face etc.. works perfectly fine..disable re-anble use default wallpaper rebooted and nothing just find it a bit odd .

.and also i haven't done any rooting yet..i wanted to know is it safe to do the update from Samsung >? I've read on here that people had problems with it..i recently got my phone hasn't been two a full week yet should i update it ? just would like some feed back :p

pull down your notification bar and make sure your rotation toggle is on.

if that's not it you can try calibrating the gyroscope in settings and display.

Yep on and Calibrated couple of time landscape works but just not on home screens

also i just tried the update said there was no update available means I'm already updated i believe koo..

What launcher are you using. I set my grid up differently and it seems to not allow my home screens to rotate. Have you done anything like that?

Also, when I bought my phone I hit that update right away but it didn't do anything for me. Notification just went away because I think it said it didn't need to update

Edit - switched my grid and it didn't work. My one screen has five widgets that are all the width of the home screen. I think that could be it.

on Stock for now..yea think I'm up to date already ..it's weird but i can live with it lol as long as it works with the apps I guess ;)
 
I believe that stock touchwiz doesn't allow for home screen rotation. Mine didn't do it either. Now if you download another launcher that has that option that's different. But I would recommend to root & try out the ROMs. You won't be disappointed
