Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] New MetroPCS Update MF2 any known root methods?

If is possible that one of you guys can upload a rootkeeper backup for me please I'm stock at work with no root
 
tahts not how it works. it makes teh backup on your device so that way your device can restore root, if you could just push a backup of it then everyone would be forever rooted

my suggestion is try motochopper, see if it still works :)
 
I'm on shabbys Metropolis 1.4.0 with the new modem...my 4G icon keeps disappearing / appearing frequently ...anybody else has this issue?

I was in a corp store yesterday and they told that on the 26th they were gonna start using T-Mobile antenna here in sarasota i imagine thats why signal is failing in my area
 
Thanks Shabby for the modem zip. My 4G has been down all week & I was wondering if it was because the tower merger happened here in Philly. All I know is that once I flashed the updated modem zip my 4G was working again. Thanks again man, you rock.
 
Another way to root is by flashing cwm or twrp after getting update then manualy flash

its SuperSU-v0.96+.zip. I dont remember who created it but I downloaded it back when metropcs first update to 4.1.2 rolled out :deal:
 
I have a stock rooted S3, with stock everything. I had CWM recovery but I managed to flash stock recovery back on it. I tried updating but it doesnt let me, and I also used voodoo OTA rootkeeper but it also didnt let me update either. Is there another way i can do this ? Can i flash that file shabby provided? i really need help /.\
 
Hello all, im new to the forum, although ive gained so much knowledge by using it over the years . I Figured I'd share.
Woke up to find a nice fresh update waiting for me today. Looks like metro has rolled out premium suite for us. Updated my wife's at the same time. I've yet to find anything posted about so i figured I'd help get the word out.

supersu is chainfire, my supersu+ package is supersu and busybox :)

Great my girlfriend got the update and she's teasing me about it!

Anyway someone could provide instructions on how to get this update? I'm on stock rooted and removed Metros bloatware and also have a modded play store. When trying to use Mobile Odin, the update fails immediately. Don't know where to go from here :(
 
soo I got the update notification on my phone, even tho im on stock root. soo I download the update, and install it but now my phone stays on the METROPCS logo for like more than 15 minutes. what do I do ? :o I tried taking out my battery and utting it back in but with no result. REALLY NEED HELP !!
 
I'm having problems updating, I've tried to flash the update using stock recovery and if failed then I tried Odin mobile and it failed, is there another way or am I doing it wrong? I'm on stock rooted

Have you tried wipe cache and wipe data/factory reset? I believe that should fix your problem
 
I myself went through that problem and waited when I did the update. I just got impatient and used odin to flash the new mf2. just follow shabbypanguin post its all there. good luck.

I received this today. Apparently it did not fully flash. I'm STUCK (stuff is not working on my phone,etc.). Is there a "RESTORE" feature on Android?

I'm what you'd call power user with Windows/Windows Command line (Regedit,etc)

Know *NOTHING* via Android---are there methods to "SPOOF" (it is not installed)--thus I can install again?

Or a specific APK I can launch?

While I have not "BRICKED" my phone--SURELY this is not fully flased.

Same thing happened when first Jelly Bean came out. Followed to the LETTER--NOT TOUCHING the phone while flashing-got "STUCK" Tech support *THEN* was able to do something on their end (in the computer)--for "REST"--dude told me to reboot phone---and start process again *POOF* worked like a JEWEL

Asking for same help--PEOPLE THINK I'M AN ALIEN--Samsung thinks I'm nuts (providing that Baseband #)--while not *CALLING* me a Liar--pointed me to a page that has all the Basebands--this one not listed.

Same with MetroPCS--seems as if this was released (at least 10-14 days ago--Support would know about it.

Anyway, any help?
