Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] New Superuser app!

ktchong

Android Enthusiast
I just use whatever comes with the rom. Since I've never noticed any differences.

But why the hell did he name it superuser?! That's just asking for confusion.

i use super SU pro since it has a neat feature to install itself within system so if u flash a rom or whatever u keep root access. ofcourse if you wipe system then your out of luck lol. also other neat features

I thought you hated clockwork mod and that it was impossible to remove under any circumstances. why risk installing this lol.
I would not install CWM Recovery or any custom recovery on my phone. Superuser is in a whole different category.

Anyway. what you want or do not want to install on your phones does not concern me, (and I want or do not want to install on my phone should not concern you either.) I do not want to install CWM on my phone, and that should be the end of it. I am not sure why people are making such a big fuss about it.

I find it annoying when someone kept pushing other people to install his personal favorite custom recovery or ROM, by bundling the recovery/ROM I don't want with apps that I want. And then people got all pissy when I told them that I had no interest in his custom recovery or custom ROM. It's a custom recovery/ROM, not a cult... hm... or maybe it is.

Wow... Well, lets analyze the conversation thus far;

I thought you hated clockwork mod and that it was impossible to remove under any circumstances. why risk installing this lol.

hhmmm... nope. No trying to talk you into installing something there... in fact, just the opposite.

Again - no suggestion to install something on your phone...

He mentioned what HIS preference was, and why HE uses SU Pro - but didn't suggest that YOU install it on yours.
And I saw NO ONE HERE getting "pissy" or "making a big fuss"... well, actually I did see ONE person here do just that.

Anywho, I did notice that YOUR post WAS a 'suggestion' for US to install something on OUR phones ( "...Since we've just gotten the 4.1.2 Jelly
bean update, this may be a good time to try out a new Superuser app..."
) - but I still see no one here getting "pissy" or "making a big fuss" about your suggestion to try it on their phone.

Cult??? Wow... I had no idea I've been a "cult" member all these years. lol

yea the way i see it every1 has their preference i remember when i really started getting into android i would taunt people that used iphones but later started to think everyone is different and with that being said each one has their own taste. so if someone wants to use an apple product of android let them be and if someone dosn't want to use clock work mod or twrp them let them be.

I was not referring to trueno22 or airteoteclin. Don't even recognize those user names. They are not the people who have been hounding me, popped into my every discussion, and had to put up their nasty $0.02 to my every post.

You know, when I find someone obnoxious, I stay away from their discussions and posts. I don't pop into every single one of their discussion just to pick a fight with them.

If you don't like what I said, then you really should stay out of my threads. When I recognize some names I don't like, I stay away from their discussions because I'm not psychotic.

Veni vidi vacuum.

I came, I saw, I cleaned up. (as in deleted a few unnecessary posts)

A few points of order. First, if you feel another member is behaving inappropriately or in some way violating forum rules, please report /!\ and don't respond. Reporting get's a moderators eyes on the situation while responding will have the same result as whacking a hornet's nest with a stick ... naked.

Second, please be respectful to each other and do not turn this thread (or any other thread) into a 3rd rate, drama-laden high school theater improv. It's not anywhere near as interesting as talking about Android.

Third, as Shabby pointed out, if you have a conflict of personalities with any member, your second action should be to put them in your ignore list. The first is to report them so we can review it to see if any lines have been crossed.

Let's keep things civil, fun and interesting. The trifecta of win. :D
